INTRODUCING THE NEW HABITATS APPROACH
Pilot Company’s New Horizons project entails the construction of a new travel center in Palmdale,
California, and the renovation of eight existing stores to better accommodate customers shopping for Black Friday vacation discounts online.

In September, festivities spread from California to Missouri, and in October, three retailers at the newly renovate

CITY OF GORDONSVILLE, TENS:
Hull, Alabama’s Pilot Flying J now features renovated restrooms and showers in addition to a deli,
expanded beverage options, and a Southern Tire Mart.

CA, PALMDALE
The new deli serves you hot pizza, home-cooked entrees, and quick bites to go. Pilot travel center has a Subway, a Cinnabon, four self-checkout lanes, five restrooms,
parking for 55 trucks, 142 gas lanes, 7 diesel lanes, biofuel, DEF, and high-speed pumps.

Software for Robots
Pilot Company has a long history of community service, and as part of the New Horizons project,
they have donated $110,000 to ten local school districts so that they can improve their robotics programmed,
upgrade necessary equipment, and build out their art and design labs.
The New Horizons programmed is the greatest investment in store renovations in the company’s history, costing $1 billion.

BRAND NEW WORK
Horizons will complete the project in phases,
during which it will reorganize its retail outlets and roll out its new technology.

Putting in new and remodeling older bathrooms, showers,
and laundry rooms with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient fittings (including touchless where possible), updated tiling, new paint, and upgraded lighting.

Guest dining and lounging rooms are enhanced with plush seating.
SHOPPING, EATING:
Pilot’s fresh deli items, which have become a trademark,
will now be available at even more stores thanks to store redesigns that have

PROJECT TEAM
Workspaces and break areas have been upgraded, reorganized, and expanded,
and new cooking and administrative tools have been installed to free up employees’ time to focus on customers.

WAGE EARNERS AT THE PILOT CENTER FOR TRAVEL GET 2.916 BILLION DOLLARS
Hourly employees of Pilot Travel Centers have achieved a settlement with Pilot Corporation and Pilot Travel Centers,
LLC in the amount of $2,916,000.00, represented by Nichols Kester, PLLP, Shavitz Law Group, P.A., and the Law Office of Keith M. Stern, P.A. In total, 3,939 employees, including cashiers, team leaders, and shift leaders,
from various locations across the country will get compensation as a result of the settlement.
The plaintiffs are represented by Keith Stern of the Law Office of Keith M. Stern, P.A., Gregg Shavitz and Michael Palitz of the Shavitz Law Group, P.A., and Michele Fisher and Kayla Kienzle of Nichols Kaster, PLLP.
CONSUMERS
Following feedback from thousands of customers who desired more food options, cleaner,
more spacious restrooms, and faster service, Pilot rethought their travel centers.
The National Association of Truck Stop Operators speaks for approximately 2,000 truck stops across the country, run by over 220 different companies.
AIRPORT PILOT STOPS AND CENTERS
The pilots celebrated their progress and presented one other with gifts. The New Horizons store renovations at six more travel centers have been completed by Pilot Company. The exterior and interior of this classic tourist stop have been renovated to include a Tex-Mex deli called Burrito Junction,
and the restrooms have also been redone.
The new deli concept is open around the clock and sells breakfast burritos along with other burritos, tacos, bowls, and quesadillas that can be personalized with guacamole, queso, salsa, and other condiments.
And as Jamie King, Director of Food and Beverage at Pilot Company, puts it: “We link people and locations.” Burrito Junction allows us to share delicious meals with our guests.
