Adsense, Everything You Need To Know To Monetize Your Website

Business

So today I will talk about the question that many of us ask ourselves about Adsense. What is? and how can we use it to monetize a website?

In fact, I wrote a post about it some time ago with a simple and concise explanation about what Adsense is, but today I will expand on this question and other related common ones so that everything is super clear.

ADSENSE WHAT IS IT?

Basically we will say that it is Google’s contextual advertising system that allows advertisers to link with websites that can publish ads in such a way that the advertiser earns by getting good quality leads and the advertiser (your blog in this case) earns by clicks in the ads.

Who manages the Adsense system?

The advantage of this is that you don’t have to deal with managing advertising or the relationship with the advertiser, since Google takes care of all this automatically and they only pay you your commissions.

So that you understand the difference, if you sell your own advertising on your website, then you have, among other things, to: search for advertisers, sell them the guideline, check the size of their banners, control the start and withdrawal dates of the ads, charge the advertiser and resell the service each and every time. Do you see it better now?

Who can subscribe to Adsense?

Anyone can do it but you must go through a verification process to ensure that you are a person with a real physical address. In addition, today Google also verifies your website in order to ensure that it is a serious project with serious content.

This is very good because it eliminates the possibility that poor quality sites are attracting advertisers.

What is the advantage of using this system?

The main reason many bloggers use this system is because of its simplicity and ease of use.

In fact, you can implement it in a few minutes to activate it and get it running with minimal knowledge.

The second reason is that you can monetize your website very well without wasting time looking for advertisers. In fact you focus on your content and Google takes care of the advertising part.

They place the ads and arrange with the advertiser and you earn a commission equal to several cents on the dollar for each click. Of course the secret is to generate traffic to have many hundreds or thousands of clicks.

Once this mechanism is working, the advertiser is happy because he gets good quality traffic (from your blog) and you earn commissions for displaying the ad. And of course Adsense also takes a commission for the use of the system.

If my Blog is new, can I advertise immediately?

If you can do it alone, you should consider that Adsense requires you to have a minimum of content to consider that your blog is serious.

Do I need to download anything to my computer to use Adsense?

Nothing at all, it is not necessary. The system works completely online and you do not need to download anything to your computer or laptop.

Do I have to pay anything to use Adsense?

No. The Adsense system is totally free.

Are there defined policies for the use of Adsense?

Yes, you can read about them here .

Can I control which advertisers are shown on my page?

It’s not possible. You can filter some themes but usually the Adsense system automatically assigns advertisers according to its own criteria of geographic location, theme and competition.

This guarantees that you will always have the most appropriate advertisers for your page or blog.

Is it convenient to put many Adsense ads on my blog?

Filling your blog with advertising is never convenient.

A couple of ad units and a link unit is my recommendation, although for some time now Google places the units automatically, regulating the exposure for the user.

And the million dollar question:

HOW AND WHEN DO I GET PAID WITH ADSENSE?

And it is that we all start at some point questioning whether this topic of making money by monetizing a blog or website is really true and understanding how it works helps a lot to know that we are on the right track.

How do I get paid with Adsense?

Depending on your country of residence, Adsense offers you different payment alternatives such as:

  • cheque personal
  • wire transfer
  • transfer through Western Union and
  • Paypal

Not all of them are available in all countries, so you should consult Google Adsense help , specifically what media you can choose in your current city.

You must take into account that some means may not be available or may have an additional shipping cost because they are faster and safer.

Where do I receive my payments?

. Google regularly does a preliminary test to verify that your address is correct by sending you an envelope with a card that contains a code that you must enter into the system.

That way they ensure that your address exists and that you are the correct beneficiary.

Typically, payments will be reaching you 30 days after you qualify.

When do I receive my payments?

Checks are issued by Google regularly about 25 days after the end of the month. If you close the month with accumulated income above US$100, your check will be issued on the 25th of the next month and the time it takes to receive it depends on the mail delivery service in your country.

If you choose immediate delivery, Adsense sends it to you by DHL which takes about 8 days at a cost of us$25.

How do I know my payments will arrive?

I will answer this question based on my personal experience of more than 10 years .

You can be sure that Google is one of the most serious technology companies in the world (perhaps No. 1) and that they have a reputation system proven by the testimony of thousands of subscribers in dozens of countries.

If your information is correct and you have not changed your address without notifying it in the system, your check or transfer will arrive without any problem. Also, just in case ( because not all systems are infallible ) something happens along the way, they have a mechanism to claim the resending of your check.

I assure you that the emotion of the first check is incomparable! So, what are you waiting for to install Google Adsens on your website?
